Ben Britton 

Hi, I’m Ben and I’ve just started as the Assistant Minister at ABC. I’ve moved to Altrincham because I want to be part of an inclusive church that makes a difference in the community every day of the week. It’s a privilege to serve this church  and I’m excited to see what God has in store for us over the coming months and years. I’m particularly interested in helping people to encounter God through our Sunday services, small groups and our work at the Hub. 
 
An ideal day off for me would probably involve some freshly ground coffee, a long walk with my wife Anna and our Labrador Odie, a nice pub lunch and some football or NFL on the TV. I support Southampton and the Pittsburgh Steelers, neither of them seem to win anything! I enjoy reading too; Fredrik Backman is my favourite author (apart from my wife, obviously) because he deals with both the serious and silly aspects of life. 
 
If I could have any superpower, it would probably be controlling the weather, although I should warn you that in this scenario it would only vary between quite cold and a bit warm. Possibly controversial, but I’m not a fan of snow. Sorry. 
 
For a dream holiday, it would have to be Japan. I’m a big fan of Nintendo so it would be amazing to go there. I’d also love to visit Sweden, partly because I’ve heard they place a high value on eating pastries. 
 
For karaoke, I would enjoy singing (whilst dancing) to S Club Party by S Club 7. I would also valiantly attempt Into the Unknown from Frozen 2 but I’m not sure I can hit the high notes…
