About us

The best way of finding out about us is to meet us. There are plenty of community or church activities going on. What underlies what we do is our belief we should serve God in four key ways. We call it our Vision Statement, which simply means that everything we do should consist of these elements and in the total work of the Church we try to achieve some balance between all four.

Worship

Having been forgiven by Jesus Christ, we want to show our love for Him through public and private worship, bringing Him our praise and adoration, we want to hear Him speak to us. However, worship is not what we do on a Sunday. We want to make every part of our lives an act of worship to God - just as Jesus did.

Discipleship

Being a Christian is not an event but a process: a disciple is literally a 'learner' - someone who, having turned to Christ, continues to grow and mature in their faith. Through a balanced programme of Bible teaching, training, nurture and prayer, we aim to help each other in the process of Christian growth.

Fellowship

We believe God has created us for fellowship and relationship with each other so that we may care for each other, share together and encourage each other in our individual walk with God. House fellowship groups, pastoral care, a counselling service and a variety of other activities are ways of growing and caring together as members of the body of Christ.

Mission

If our church's vision stopped at worship, discipleship and fellowship, we would be little more than a spiritual 'club'. But God calls Christians not to be inward-looking but to take the good news of Jesus Christ out to those around us - to be involved in outreach and social care both in our local area and further afield in world mission.
