World Mission
Altrincham Baptist Church has a vision to express God's kindness to the most vulnerable people in the world. This vision finds it's expression in partnerships with churches and organisations around the world and in charities created by members of the church to serve overseas.
The churches long association with Uganda has spawned two charities, Act 4 Africa uses performing arts to combat the scourge of AIDS and HIV? Delivering HIV & AIDS awareness training throughout Uganda and Tanzania.
Ugandaid provides sponsorship to HIV and AIDS orphans so that they can attend the Nile Vocational Institute, the institute provides skills training enabling the student to gain skilled employment to support themselves and their families.
The church organises an annual trip to Uganda providing an opportunity to take a very different holiday spending two weeks working on schools and health projects.
A large number of the church members sponsor children through Compassion projects throughout the world.
A number of our members take the opportunity to spend short term mission with Soapbox in some of the poorest areas in the world.
